As a way to raise money to pay off my college loans and help out a great cause, I've decided to create a social experiment revolving around social responsibility and the willingness to help a stranger (Me) out. I'll now explain how this works. Out of the $1.99 paid, $1.00 will be donated to Lumana, a non-profit attempting to alleviate poverty in rural communities through education and entrepreneurship. The remaining $.99 will go towards the college loans I've amassed over 4 years at the University of Washington and also towards the start-up money I need to bring my business idea to life.
